Basic Settings

Essential configuration for your Twyn including display name, URL, and publishing

Basic Settings

Essential configuration options to get your Twyn up and running. These settings control the fundamental aspects of how your Twyn appears and behaves.

Display Name

Change how your Twyn appears to users:

  • Navigate to Details tab
  • Update the Display Name field
  • This name appears in conversations and the chat interface

Description

Add an optional description to help users understand your Twyn's purpose:

  • Navigate to Details tab
  • Fill in the Description (Optional) field
  • Example: "I'll help you figure out how to get started with AI."

Custom URL

Set a unique URL for your chatbot:

  • Navigate to Details tab
  • Update the Custom URL field
  • Must be at least 3 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only
  • Cannot start or end with a hyphen

Starter Questions

Help users begin conversations with pre-written prompts:

  • Navigate to Details tab
  • Add Starter Questions (up to 4)
  • Examples: "What's your favorite productivity tip?", "How do you approach creative projects?"
  • Click "Add Question" to add more prompts

Publishing

Control whether your chatbot is publicly accessible:

  • Navigate to Details tab
  • Check Publish this chatbot to make it available to users
  • Uncheck to keep it private during development

Best Practices

  • Choose a Clear Display Name - Make it obvious who or what your Twyn represents
  • Write a Helpful Description - Give users context about what to expect
  • Pick a Memorable URL - Keep it short and related to your Twyn's purpose
  • Craft Engaging Starter Questions - Help users overcome the "blank page" problem
  • Test Before Publishing - Make sure everything works as expected before going live
